Self-Care Stipends

Self-care stipends are available to Executive Directors, Operations Directors, Support Directors, Leads, and full-time managers. Each of you receives a stipend annually to use towards something such as an activity that helps you recharge—whether through travel, recreation, health, or wellness. Stipends are issued at the beginning of each year, are prorated for promotions occurring during the middle of the year, and do not roll over into the next year.

To request reimbursement for a stipend-eligible expense, complete this form. A receipt is required for reimbursement.

Examples of reimbursable expenses:

  • Gym membership

  • Lodging for a vacation

  • Tickets to a baseball game or concert

  • National Parks pass

  • Fitness tracker

  • Museum admission

There is flexibility with how the stipend can be used, so feel free to check with David Friedli if you are unsure whether something qualifies. In general, eligible expenses should relate to travel, recreation, health, or wellness.

Examples of what DOESN'T quality:

  • A new phone

  • Mileage reimbursement or gasoline

  • Groceries

  • Vehicle maintenance
