Slack Communication

Slack Function: Real-time communication platform

Use: Slack replaces Workplace as our primary communication tool for team members. It enables quick messaging, group collaboration, and company-wide updates—all in one place.

For Employees:

• Direct Messaging – Connect one-on-one with leaders and peers

• Channel Communication – Stay informed through group chats and announcements

• File & Link Sharing – Easily share resources, documents, and updates

• Notifications – Get real-time alerts for important messages

A Note About Slack Channels
We currently have 6 main channels, each with a specific purpose:

• #all-employees – All Team Members who join our workspace using the link above will be automatically added

• #69th-and-slide – For Team Members at the 69th & Slide location; added at orientation

• #82nd-and-milwaukee – For Team Members at the 82nd & Milwaukee location; added at orientation

• #south-plains-mall – For Team Members at the South Plains Mall location; added at orientation

• #shiftswap – A shared channel for posting available shifts across all 3 locations

• #seniorleadership – A private channel for Directors and above

Directors, Please Note:
Your Slack permissions are listed as “Admin,” which gives you the ability to create new channels.

If you’d like to create a channel for your daypart team, please:

• Make the channel Private

• Add and remove Team Members as they join or leave your team

• Use this space to post daypart-specific updates or reminders in place of DMs

• It may be easier to create a DM for your team as opposed to managing a channel. If you change locations or switch positions, you will not be able to change ownership of any channels you create.
