Driver Accident Policy

Mulkey Hospitality is committed to promoting safe driving practices to ensure the safety of our employees and the general public while on the road. This Driver Accident Policy outlines the penalties for employees involved in accidents while driving company vehicles or personal vehicles for work-related purposes.

Definitions

  1. At-Fault Accident: An accident in which the employee is determined to be primarily responsible for the collision or incident as per the investigation conducted by Enterprise, Sedgwick CMS, or the police.

  2. Minor Accident: An accident that results in minor vehicle damage, such as dents, scratches, or minor bumps.

  3. Major Accident: An accident that results in significant vehicle damage or serious injuries, such as major collisions.

Escalating Penalty System for At-Fault Accidents

First Minor Accident:

  • Written warning and counseling from Delivery Director regarding safe driving practices.

Second Minor Accident:

  • Written warning.

  • Suspension of driving company vehicle privileges for 21 days.

First Major Accident:

  • Written warning.

  • Suspension of driving company vehicle privileges for 21 days.

Second Major Accident:

  • Termination of employment.
